At Vital Yogis, we believe yoga is for everyone—no matter where you are on your journey. It’s a space to explore, grow, and embrace all parts of yourself with acceptance and grace.
I’m Amy, a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with a background in Iyengar, Hatha, and restorative yoga, along with studies in Ayurveda, pranayama, sequencing, meditation, cueing, and sound healing. I’ve been teaching since 2018, and my own yoga journey began after a back injury led me to explore healing through mindful movement. That experience revealed the depth of the mind-body connection and inspired me to share the transformative power of yoga with others.
Before yoga, I spent over 30 years in healthcare, always drawn to helping people feel their best. Now, I guide students toward greater balance and wellbeing through breath awareness, movement, and relaxation practices—both on and off the mat.
My teaching style is rooted in authenticity, compassion, and non-judgment. I’m deeply receptive to each student’s unique needs, offering modifications, props, and support to meet you where you are. Every class is designed as a safe space to cultivate self-awareness, interconnectedness, and personal growth.
Whether you’re breathing into a restorative posture or standing strong in Tree Pose (my personal favorite!), my aim is to help you feel grounded, resilient, and empowered. Yoga, to me, is a journey inward that helps you reconnect with your vitality and embrace all the layers of your being.
Outside of teaching yoga, I find nourishment in nature. One of my most cherished adventures was in Costa Rica—riding horseback through the jungle, ziplining over treetops, sliding into a natural pool, and ending the day soaking in mineral baths surrounded by lush greenery. The warmth, the flavor, the joy… it was pure Pura Vida.

My Rise & Shine class blends Vinyasa and Hatha yoga. Some poses are held longer, with emphasis on foundation. Beginners are welcome. Includes meditation, pranayama (breath work), some yoga philosophy. You will leave feeling refreshed and ready for your day.
